Lake Tipsoo

Sold. There’s a wonderful hike in Mount Rainier National Park on the Naches Loop Trail, which goes around a ridge opposite Mount Rainier, yielding magnificent views along the way. The trail heads out on the north side of a ridge and returns on the south side, where on clear days hikers enjoy the sight of Mount Rainier ahead of them for a couple of miles.  This painting is of a lake that reflects the mountain on cloudless days, but even when the mountain is obscured by clouds, it’s still a lovely sight.
